Garbage pile makes life miserable for Anthoniyar Street residents

Stench emanating from overflowing garbage from a dumper bin near Anthoniyar Street at Ponmalai has made life tough for local residents. They say the foul smell has intensified after the recent rain and allege the garbage has not been removed by civic body workers for weeks together. Over 150 families live in four lanes off Anthoniyar Street near Malai Adivaram. The civic body has kept a metal dumper bin for residents to put their garbage, but the civic body vehicle has not come for over a couple of months to clear it.
