A 51-year-old woman from Trichy city lost her life in the stampede at the ‘stoning of the devil’ ritual at Mina in Saudi Arabia during the annual hajj pilgrimage on Thursday, taking the number of victims from Trichy region to two. The families of both victims consented to bury the bodies in Mecca itself.
