While the district road safety council has suggested shifting of the MGR statue in the Cantonment area a few feet away from its present location, citing public interest, the city corporation has ruled out any such possibility. Work on construction of a roundabout, which was delayed for months adding to traffic chaos, was completed a few weeks ago.
